Mark is studying classical trombone performance at the University of Auckland under Doug Cross. In 2016 Mark was awarded an Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) Orchestral Internship and he will have a Fellowship with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) for 2018.
As part of the APO Orchestral Internship, he performed in two of the APO's Kiwi Kaper Concerts and was invited to perform as part of the APO Young Achievers Programme.
He is working part-time as a freelance trombonist and played in the Amici Trust's Auckland productions of The Phantom of the Opera and Evita.

Mark is available to teach trombone, euphonium, music theory and tutor NCEA Music Levels 1-3. He is based in Epsom. He has completed two music education papers at the University of Auckland and he was a tutor of the Auckland Primary Principal's Association (APPA) Concert Band for several years. In 2017, he has been a part-time itinerant low brass teacher at a number of secondary schools in Auckland. He also has some private students that he teaches in Epsom.
